ACSI Elementary Speech Meet

These Wooster Christian School students are all smiles after their outstanding

participation in the ACSI Regional Elementary Speech Meet at Northside Christian

Academy in Wadsworth on March 15.  Twenty-five students received superior

blue ribbon ratings and eight students were rated as excellent red ribbon winners.

Thirty-three students from Wooster Christian School participated in the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) Regional Elementary Speech Meet held at Northside Christian Academy in Wadsworth on Saturday, March 15, 2008.  A total of 125 students (grades 1- 6) from six Christian schools took part in the event which featured categories of Bible Memorization, Poetry, Fable and Folklore, Patriotic Oration, Dramatic Bible Prose, and Original Speech.

 

The following Wooster Christian students received “superior” blue ribbon ratings in their respective categories: 

 

Bible Memorization:   Grade 1—Adrianne Silva, Korbin Reed,

                                 Grade 2—Kennedy Hoffer, George Wiggam

                                 Grade 3—Amber Franklin

                                 Grade 4—Taryne Wenger

                                 Grade 5—Sarah Patching, Shannon Garrison

Poetry:  Grade 1—Ethan England, Lauren Gwinn, Timothy Fritts, Lauren Schmitt,

             Grade 2—Aaron Eicher, Lexi Sheely

             Grade 3—Riley Harris, Tiffany Curtis, Nick Johnston

             Grade 4—Sydney Mullen

             Grade 5—Eric Buehler, Tirzah Talampas

             Grade 6—Savannah Johnston, Kathryn Schmidle

Fable & Folklore:  Grade 3—Brianna Cermely, Zeven Zemrock-van der Meer

                              Grade 4--Zachary Fritts
