ACSI Competitions

We believe there are many ways to measure the success of our academics here at WCS. One of those ways is the performance of our students at ACSI competitions.

Some highlights from the 2010 - 2011 school year:

Math Olympics
Even though WCS represented 17% of the competitors, we received 35% of the awards and 71% of the first place scores! An administrator from another school could not help noticing how well WCS performed and wrote a letter to WCS inquiring about our math curriculum.

Spelling Bee
The top three spellers in the final spell-down at the middle school level were WCS students.  We received 5 out of 8 possible first place scores competition-wide in grades 1 to 8, and had many more students in second and third place.  We also had a student place in the top 8 in the Wayne County Spelling Bee.

Speech Meet
Our students received a total of 18 Superior ratings and 6 Excellent ratings and none scored lower than excellent.
