Rheanna Vura (or "Miss Rhe" as the students call her) is a student teacher in Miss Bri's class this semester.  As part of her Earth Unit, Miss Rhe has led the 3-Day Pre-K students through many projects and activities that encourage caring for the planet and recycling.

The children and Miss Rhe worked as a classroom community to build a grocery store intended for dramatic play using recycled materials.  Students helped with pricing items, counting inventory, making signs, and more.

The Grand Opening and ribbon cutting of the grocery store took place on May 2nd, with a special guest: Spike from Buehler's!

Teamwork and cooperative learning were nurtured through this fun-filled project.  We trust that it has also helped plant the seeds of entrepreneurship and environmentalism in our youngest students.
